The house (now called a manor) and farm buildings on the Kemnal Estate can be
clearly seen here, as can the cottages to the north in the kitchen garden. A lodge has
been built on the new Kemnal Road. Foxbury has been built, with two lodges, north
and south, and extensive farm buildings built on Grubfield Woods to the east of the
main house. The northern end of Kemnal Road has now been created, to the west
of both houses. A footpath has been created from South Lodge running westwards
past Woodheath Cottage towards Chislehurst village.
By 1897 Kemnal Road is laid out and all the main houses and their lodges and stables
have been built. Note that Nizels is without its extension, and that Wyvelsfield
appears to be still in a relatively small plot of land. Meadowcroft has its drive opening onto
Ashfield Lane.
